Did You Know?

• The Credit River is about 90 kilometres long and is connected to over 1,500 kilometres of smaller creeks and streams. Connected wetlands are also a part of this system, as are all of the lands that drain into the river. The entire river system is of great economic, social, cultural, and ecological value.

Our Fund Recipient - Credit Valley Conservation

Credit Valley Conservation (CVC) was formed on May 13, 1954 by an Act of Provincial Government and has been working for more than 50 years to protect the natural environment. CVC is one of 36 conservation authorities operating in Ontario, and is a partnership of the municipalities within the Credit River Watershed.

While CVC receives funding from a variety of sources, there is never enough money to carry out all of the important environmental work that needs to be done. Donating to the Foundation helps this important work get done.
