To raise funds and awareness in support of the conservation projects carried out by the Credit Valley Conservation Authority (CVCA) that protect the health and well-being of the flora and fauna, the watershed and its inhabitants for today and tomorrow.

Volunteer of the Month

Orangeville resident, Larry Dee is a valued member of the Friends of Island and has been integral in helping the group raise more than $800,000 in support of the Island Lake Community Trails Campaign. Most recently, Larry donated extensive time and energy in assisting the Friends with their pilot Scrap Metal Collection Program.

A retired Sergeant with Toronto Police Services and an active member of the Rotary Club of Orangeville, Larry is an engaged and generous community citizen.

Larry does not hesitate to give of his time, skills and expertise and is an absolute pleasure for staff and volunteers to work with. Thank you Larry!
